Welcome back to the Soul Prism Podcast — and today, fam, it’s a total pinch me moment. I get to sit down with my mentor, the one and only Dr. Karen Curry Parker. If you’ve been in the Human Design world for even a hot second, you know Karen as the creator of Quantum Human Design, bestselling author, speaker, and all-around powerhouse in bringing this system to life in a way that’s empowering, expansive, and aligned with where we’re headed.
For me, this is full circle. I started studying with Karen back in 2019 — taking her certification programs, geeking out over her books, and honestly just soaking in her wisdom as a 6/2 Splenic Projector. And now… here we are, sharing this conversation on the SoulPrism podcast together. (Is this even real life?)
🎥 You can watch the full episode below, or keep reading for the highlights and my own takeaways (with a little Soulprism sass sprinkled in, of course).
👉 Before we dive in, grab Karen’s brand-new book Quantum Wellness it’s the guide to rewriting your story through Human Design. FYI, I have both the kindle AND the Audible!! And if you’re brand new to this world, don’t miss her free Quantum Human Design Masterclass. Both are absolute game-changers.
One of the first things Karen and I talked about was the difference between a coach and a mentor.
Karen and I are both 6th lines, and we hold the Role Model or Edept archetype in our profile make up. In Soulprism, we call her the Goddess.
She explained that a coach gives you something linear, step-by-step, tied to a specific niche. It’s structured and practical. A mentor, on the other hand, is more expansive, open, and dynamic.
A mentor meets you in the moment with what needs to move — whether it’s guidance, reflection, or a download that lands exactly when you need it.
When she said this, I couldn’t help but think about how our relationship has unfolded since I first met her. Karen hasn’t just taught me Human Design — she’s modeled what it looks like to live in flow, to honor what drops in, and to build an empire that’s rooted in purpose instead of hustle.
✨ My projector heart? Seen. My soulpreneur self? Lit up.
And here’s the kicker — mentorship is where the magic really happens. Coaching teaches you skills. Mentorship changes your life.
✨ If you’re craving that kind of mentorship, my Dive-In Diva Mentorship is where you start. It’s not about step-by-step formulas — it’s a 3-month, inch-wide-mile-deep dive into your design, your voice, and your devotion. This is mentorship that meets you where you’re at and pulls you into who you’re becoming.
I have heard this story many times, but honestly, it never gets old!
Karen shared how Quantum Human Design came to be — and it wasn’t some polished download dropped from the sky. It was lived, wrestled with, and slowly revealed over years of devotion.
Back in the early 2000s, she was studying directly with Ra Uru Hu, the founder of Traditional Human Design. At first, she was completely lit up by the system. With her background as a nurse, life coach, energy healer, and midwife, she saw how transformative it could be. But after a while, she began to notice something…
The people she was working with — many of whom had already done years of deep healing and shadow work — were bumping up against the language of Human Design. Words like “not-self” and the prescriptive, mechanical tone just didn’t resonate. They could feel the value of the system, but they didn’t see themselves reflected in that language.
And here’s the part that gives me chills every time: Ra once said he would write the Awakened Rave I’Ching. He never got to. After his passing in 2011, Karen realized that piece of the work was unfinished — the system itself was incomplete.
So, true to her 6th-line nature, she pulled back, listened, and asked the bigger question: What comes after healing?
That question birthed Quantum Human Design.
Karen took the vocabulary of Traditional Human Design into a sound lab, tested the frequency of words, and rewrote the system’s language word by word. She infused it with empowerment instead of limitation, possibility instead of prescription. Not “you’re broken” language, but “you’re becoming” language.
And honestly? This is exactly why I fell in love with her work. When I first encountered Human Design in 2018, it felt dry and stuck in my head. Then I found Karen’s teachings — and suddenly it clicked. Quantum Human Design gave me a language I could actually live.
Language is everything. Karen said during our conversation and it’s something I feel deep in my bones — splenic hits can feel like this.
No one is a pure vessel when channeling. (I have gate 12 "The Channel" in my conscious Jupiter)We all filter wisdom through our conditioning, our experiences, and the times we live in.
Ra’s download of Human Design back in 1987? To me, it came through with total Radio Shack vibes — mechanical, functional, very plug-this-wire-into-that-wire energy. Like an ‘80s TV with cords everywhere. Everything had a purpose, but it was rigid. That was his filter, his way of transmitting the system.
But language carries frequency. Words don’t just explain reality — they create it.
When we use words that sound limiting, we end up shrinking ourselves to fit inside them. That’s why so many people resonate with the mechanics of Human Design, but struggle to feel themselves in it — the words don’t match their lived frequency.
That’s where Quantum Human Design shifts the game. Karen reworked the vocabulary, word by word, to create resonance instead of resistance. Instead of being told you’re “not-self,” you’re invited into the highest expression of who you already are.
When I found Karen’s work back in 2018, it was like my whole system exhaled. The dryness, the headiness, the prescriptive tone I’d felt before… gone. For the first time, Human Design felt alive. I could see myself in it. I could live it.
✨ That’s the magic: language doesn’t just describe your design — it activates it.
When Karen started talking about Projectors, I swear my whole being went yes, exactly.
She explained that Projectors aren’t just here to “guide” or “wait for the invitation.” That’s the surface-level story we’ve all heard a million times. What she’s seen over decades of work — and what so many Projectors have told her in readings — is that we’re doing something much bigger.
We’re holding the grid together.
She shared stories of Projectors who literally feel themselves traveling at night, repairing and anchoring the energetic field of the planet. Others feel it in smaller ways — on the playground with kids, in their community, or just sitting quietly, steadying the field while the world swirls. And it’s why so many of us feel so damn tired. Because we’re not just “resting,” we’re working on levels most people can’t see.
When she said this, I felt so validated. This has been my lived truth as a Projector. I’m not just here to direct or guide — I’m here to anchor the frequency of what’s to come.
And here’s where I layered in my own download: right now, the planet has three key roles at play —
Stabilizers — gripping the old foundations, keeping things from crumbling too fast.
Anchors — holding the new frequency steady (hi, that’s me 🙋♀️).
Builders — taking the raw energy and creating the new structures, businesses, and systems.
Projectors are the anchors. We may not always be seen in the hustle and grind of “building,” but without us, the new can’t take root. We’re the ones holding the resonance steady so the Builders have fertile ground to create on, while the
Stabilizers give us just enough resistance to keep things from collapsing into chaos.
✨ That’s the gift of the Projector — not just to guide others, but to anchor the future.
One of the most tender parts of this conversation was when Karen opened up about her lifelong relationship with her spirit guide, Thomas, and how her mystical gifts re-emerged during motherhood.
She shared how, as a child, Thomas felt like an “imaginary friend,” only to return later in life as her anchor during chaotic times. And then, while pregnant with her daughter — a fellow Projector — the book Inside the Body of God came through her. Karen even admitted she feels like her daughter co-wrote it from the womb.
This story hit me deeply because Inside the Body of God was one of the first books that truly cracked me open to the mysteries of the Gnostic. I loved it so much I even hosted a book club around it — that’s how much it impacted me. The vulnerability, the mysticism, the weaving of spirit and motherhood… it changed the way I related to my own gifts.
✨ To me, this is what makes Karen such a mentor: she doesn’t just teach Human Design, she lives her spiritual evolution out loud.
If you’ve been around Human Design circles, you’ve probably heard whispers (or shouts) about the 2027 mutation. And let’s be honest — a lot of the conversation leans toward doom-and-gloom predictions.
Karen, though, brings such a grounded perspective. In her book The Quantum Human, she explains that mutations don’t happen overnight. This is unfolding across decades — even centuries — so we’re already in the thick of it. What looks like chaos right now is really the old systems breaking down so the new can come through.
She reminded us that this shift is about creativity, story, and inner authority. The world doesn’t need us to panic; it needs us to take responsibility for our role in the tapestry of evolution. That’s how we move forward — not through fear, but through conscious creation.
This lands so deeply with me because it echoes the message of my own book, Rise of the Soulpreneur. In it, I share my take on the 2027 mutation — not as an ending, but as an opening. A call for soul-led entrepreneurs to step into leadership, embody devotion, and weave businesses that actually serve the new consciousness.
✨ 2027 isn’t a finish line. It’s an initiation.
We wrapped our conversation by talking about Karen’s newest book, Quantum Wellness. This one is pure medicine for anyone ready to move beyond healing and start rewriting their story. Karen lays out how your Human Design chart is more than mechanics — it’s a map of the narratives you’ve been carrying, and an invitation to consciously choose a new one.
As she said, we’re not broken. Healing isn’t about fixing what’s wrong — it’s about realigning with who we already are. And when we do that, we reclaim the power to tell a new story about money, relationships, our bodies, and our purpose.
As she said "we aren't healing, we are WHOLING"
That’s why this conversation means so much to me. Karen has been my mentor, my guide, and my mirror. Her work helped me claim my voice and evolve my own teachings — from Rise of the Soulpreneur to the Soulprism Collective, and beyond.
And this is just Part One, I said what I said. Karen, we are going to continue this conversation!!
✨ Here’s the takeaway I want you to feel in your bones: you have the power to rewrite your story.
If this episode lit something up in you, don’t keep it to yourself.
