Pleasure Past 50: Redefining Sex, Receiving & Vitality (with Linda Landon) | Soulprism Podcast

Let’s talk about sex, soul, and surrender

Welcome to the Soulprism Podcast (blog style) because I know a lot of you prefer to read instead of listen.

I couldn’t have asked for a juicier conversation to land near the Scorpio New Moon — the season of sex, money, power, and portals. I invited Linda Landon to the Soulprism Podcast, and this transmission felt like a hot spring for the soul. Literally. At the end of this episode, we were both ready to soak in the waters and let the codes settle into our bones.

I sat down with Linda Landon, a 70-year-old powerhouse of radiance who healed herself from burnout and sexual numbness — and now teaches others how to reignite intimacy at any age. She’s the creator of the Ignite Method, which weaves together Human Design, Sensing Sexuality, and Tools for Liberation.

We didn’t just talk about intimacy. We entered it. I felt like we were both floating in a hot spring by the end of this conversation — raw, open, soft, and sacred.

Oh, and yes — she guided us through a 4-minute sensual practice that will light you up (fully clothed, no pressure, all pleasure).

The myth of male-centric sex

One of the most potent things Linda shared (and I’ve felt this for years) is that we are working with a painfully limited script when it comes to sex.

For most people, the “goal” is penetration.
Climax.
An outcome.
Sing it with me!! Get it in, get it out, don’t mess my hairdo.

But pleasure isn’t a performance. It’s not a damn to-do list.

There are multiple ways to make love — and only one of them involves genitals. The rest?
They involve your energy. Your breath. Your nervous system. Your full‑body “yes.”

Here’s a quick taste of the real menu:

  • Energetic — the tease, the anticipation, the breath between bodies. Sometimes you don’t even need touch.

  • Sensual — scent, texture, music, eye contact, chocolate on your lips. It's full-body, sense-based turn-on.

  • Sexual — yes, this is where penetration and climax live. But now it’s sovereign. No pressure, no performance.

  • Kinky — anything taboo, edgy, surprising. Power dynamics. Role play. Yes, even in your spiritual awakening era.

We’re not one-dimensional beings. Your body might crave energetic build-up one day, deep sensuality the next, and primal power the day after that.

That doesn’t make you confusing — it makes you alive and feminine.

This isn’t about “getting off.”

It’s about getting in — to your body, your truth, your pleasure language.

Penetration? Optional.

It’s Not a Ladder — It’s a Spiral

Linda explained it like this — and honestly, I felt my whole body nod yes.

In our culture, we’re trained to think arousal is supposed to follow a straight line:

Get turned on → build heat → penetration → climax → done.

That’s the male-centric model. And most women? We’ve been trying to keep up with that script for decades.

But that’s not how the feminine works. Not in the bedroom, not in business, not anywhere.

“A woman needs to be able to deeply relax and feel safe in her environment... and then you start to build this energy — what I call orgasmic flow. It peaks and it ebbs and it peaks and it ebbs and it’s very fluid.” - Linda Landon

When we drop the pressure — to climax, to perform, to please — something new emerges:

sensation, not just stimulation.
presence, not performance.
aliveness, not obligation.

That spiral? It’s not a flaw. It’s your nature.

And it doesn’t need to “get somewhere.” It just needs permission to be felt.

Being Turned On… By Yourself

This part of the conversation? It felt like church.

Linda invited us into a self-pleasure practice — but not the kind you do with your eyes closed and your brain checked out. This wasn’t about “getting off.” It was about getting in.

“Just ask your body: where do you want to be touched right now?” she said.

And for me?
It wasn’t my breasts.
It wasn’t what I would usually touch if I was “performing” pleasure.

It was my throat.

Not exactly a scene from Deep Throat 7: The Thirst Awakens.
But that’s what my body asked for. A quiet kind of love. A hand to the part of me that’s still finding its voice.

But that’s what my body asked for, it wanted recognition.

That’s the power of being fully with yourself. You stop auto-piloting.

You start listening.

And when you do… your body speaks. Clearly. Gently. Truthfully.

We talked about celibacy. About long ass stretches without sex — and how that doesn’t mean you’re disconnected. Sometimes it means you’re deeply tuned in.

Sacred. Sovereign. Sensual… in ways no one else might see.

“You don’t have to be in partnership to experience this,” Linda said. “There’s so much you can give and receive for yourself.”

That’s what this conversation reminded me of — the kind of intimacy that starts before anyone else is involved.

The kind that asks:

What do I actually need?
And am I brave enough to give it to myself?

Try This Practice: 4-Minute Pleasure Ritual

After talking about arousal, permission, and pleasure beyond performance… Linda offered to guide us through a practice.

Don't worry, you can keep your clothes on....if you want. No judging here.

It was so simple. So human. So deeply nourishing.

Here’s the rhythm of it:

  • Close your eyes. No effort. Just notice your breath.

  • Bring one hand slowly to your heart. Let it hover, then rest.

  • Then ask: where else does my body want to be touched?

  • Follow the cue. Your cheek. Your belly. Your throat. Maybe nowhere at all.

  • Touch that place like a lover would — not to get anywhere, but just to love.

That’s it.

And what happened next was real.

I felt my third eye open. My crown soften. My throat call for touch.
Not because I thought it should.
Because my body was finally being asked.

Linda said, “There’s no right or wrong way to do this. It’s just about contact — from you to you.”

And yes, I felt a subtle shift ( I have been practising this for a while through tantra and Qigong)

But not just in a sexual way. I felt alive. Present. Sourced.

This is what no one teaches us: that the most powerful intimacy doesn’t always happen with another.

It happens the moment we return to ourselves, slowly, gently, with love.

Final Vibe

I walked away from this episode remembering what I already knew in my bones:

💋 That pleasure doesn’t start with someone else. It starts in you.
💋 That we open under presence, not pressure.
💋 That turn-on is a portal — not just to sex, but to vitality, magnetism, and creation.

So here’s your invitation:
Slow down.
Place your hand on your heart.
And ask… what part of me wants to be touched right now?

That’s where the pleasure begins.
